What could be better than unloading years worth of stress while nurturing yourself back to optimum health at one of the world's most exclusive healing resorts? You guessed it... Nothing! Whether new to yoga or not, for your next holiday, give yourself the gift of retreat and renewal through a one-of-a-kind Integrative Yoga Detoxification course.
Embark on a journey through the ancient healing arts of Shat-Karma, the yoga practices of purification, as you engage in a holistic cleansing experience that will transform your body, mind and spirit from the inside-out. Shat-Karma has been used throughout history to break patterns of addiction and habitual behaviour, to eradicate disease and negative emotions, as well as to relieve stress, purify the internal organs, still the mind and to invoke inner peace.
In addition to expertly guided, twice-daily Integrative Yoga practices which will include traditional asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), gentle Yin/restorative sequences, vigorous Vinyasa flow, Taoist Qigong, Nidra Yoga (conscious dreaming) and meditation, you will receive instructions on a number of special techniques called kriyas, designed to efficiently eliminate toxins while restoring balance throughout your entire being.
During the course we will explore the benefits of high-energy raw foods, which will help to pacify cravings and mood-swings while vanquishing heavy metals and poisons from your system en route to restoring your metabolism to a healthy equilibrium. Additional talks on Ayurveda (traditional Indian "yogic medicine" focusing on your unique body constitution) will help to determine exactly which foods are best suited for you so that you can remain light on your feet and in your heart for the rest of your life.
In between sessions, hike, swim or simply kick back in a hidden pavilion while sipping fresh juice or delicious herbal teas; catch up on reading, take a nap by the pool, or honour yourself with a complimentary treatment at the Spa.
As is customary with Asian Yoga Holidays retreats, group size is limited to 12 people only. We like to keep our retreats personal and ensure that each participant gets sufficient individual attention both on and off the yoga mat.

About ALIVE! - A Gourmet Vegan Experience
All food prepared at The Farm is 100% pure organic vegan and 85% raw/15% cooked. Fully cooked options are offered on the à la carte menu.
You will find some of your favorite dishes on the menu, from pates and crackers to succulent main dishes; from freshly-made ice cream to cookies and cakes. By fusing careful preparation of the ALIVE! foods (soaking, blending, dehydration, and culturing) with the culinary creativity and talent of the executive chefs, vegetables, nuts, seeds and fruits are transformed into absolutely delectable culinary delicacies. All foods are produced daily on the premises: from breakfast granola, butters, and jams, dairy-free milk to chutneys, salad dressings, freshly-baked breads, pizza crusts, "hamburger"/veggie burgers and raw-chocolate dessert treats.
Specially designed dehydrators are used instead of cooking to give raw foods a variety of textures resembling cooked foods, without destroying the nutritional properties and enzymes of the foods. Warm soups rather than cooked hot soups are served in order to preserve the valuable nutritional building blocks the body needs to continuously rebuild and renew itself thus slowing the aging process and giving you energy and vitality.
The Farm's ALIVE! cuisine is committed to:
•
Satisfy your eyes, your palate and your emotions with our beautiful culinary creations.
•
Educate you about the benefits of a diet consisting primarily of plant-based, "live" foods.
•
Show you that eating for health can be extremely exciting and satisfying!

"I have been lucky enough to get to know and take yoga with Nick for the last six months. To say he is gifted doesn't begin to tell the story. I loved his Yoga Sleep Therapy class and slept like a baby!" (Barbara, San Francisco)

"Your yoga sessions were a revelation and I have not seen anything comparable." (Steve, New York City)
8 July 2010
"I've been practicing yoga & meditation for over fifteen years and have a lot of great teachers but you're the best. I love how your approach is so different and complete, much more than just postures. I don't know what it is, but something inside of me has shifted." (Betsy, Western Massachusetts)
23 June 2010
"I remember you kept telling us throughout the practice that the more we "gave ourselves" to the dance, the deeper we would go – the more we would receive. That resonated with me, and I allowed myself to totally surrender to the movement. It was an unexpected breakthrough in healing my issues with trust. Thank you for creating the sacred space and atmosphere for an experience like this to unfold." (Shanti, New York)
